Raised over $2,400

   Community projects supported include smoke detector program, children's eyeglass program, Valdez educational scholarships and fire relief.

Smoke Detector Program Minimize

If any Valdez resident is in need of a hearing impaired smoke detector or a child in need of eyeglasses, please pick up a request for Splash-In funds at the city Fire Department at 212 Chenega St. in Valdez.

2011 X-MAS Fundraiser

The Port of Valdez Chapter raised over $1,600 for Alaskan rural families whose children are patients at Providence Children's Hospital in Anchorage.

2011 Polar Bear Splash-In

April 2, 2011 - The Port of Valdez and Alyeska Marine Terminal chapters joint fundraiser, the Polar Bear Splash-in, brought in $10,491.

May 2011 - Six scholarships were given to Valdez High School seniors. Congratulations to Cera L. Tetz, Courtney J. Knowles, Keriann Gilson, George Richard Keeney, Justin C. Black and Summer L Cawley.

2010 X-MAS Fundraiser

The Port of Valdez Chapter raised $1,466 for the state firefighter memorial move in Anchorage, AK, by delivering presents with Santa to kids around Valdez.

2011 Training Fundraiser

Former Valdez Fire Chief John Kelsey donated an I-Pad 2 that was raffled by the Port of Valdez Firefighters Association to send two firefighters to Municipal Fire School at Texas Engineering Extension Service (TEEX) in College Station, TX. Thanks to Suzie Koklich for arranging the two spots at the school. Members Bryan Vincent and Matt Smelcer attended the training.
