Colt Graham is serving his first term as president of the Alaska State Firefighters Association. Having made a career in public safety, initially on the blue side of life, joined Palmer Fire & Rescue as a paid on call responder. Colt immediately fell in love with the fire service, fire family and members of this association. Transitioning from an Associates Degree in Criminal Justice, he changed his focus and earned Dual Bachelors Degrees in Fire Administration and Fire Investigations from Columbia Southern University.

Colt has worked his way through the ranks at Palmer Fire & Rescue, as a paid on call Firefighter and Lieutenant before being given the opportunity to be the first full time Fire Officer. He continued up the ranks serving as a Captain and currently serves as an Assistant Chief and Training Officer for Palmer Fire & Rescue. Colt has an amazing and supportive wife Amanda and one son Liam.

Colt works hard to spread information about our association and its benefits to firefighters around the state.
