Secretary/Treasurer will maintain ASFA records, both financial and correspondence including Constitution and Bylaws, record and transcribe Board meeting and General Membership minutes, maintain rosters for all chapters, and will submit a biannual report to the Board.  Sec/Treasurer will arrange meetings and institute invitations, and coordinate with Web Manager to keep the website chapter information updated.

My name is Amber Garcia, and I've been a Valdez resident for 28 years. I am an accountant, mother of 4, dog lover, and outdoor enthusiast.

I have become increasingly involved with the fire service through volunteer work and being the wife of a local fire engineer. I became an EMT 1 for the Valdez Fire Department in January 2025 and served as the Administrave Coordinator for the Valdez Local Emergency Planning Committee from 2009 to 2021.

I've worked in the accounting profession for 19 years, obtained a Bachelors of Business Administration in Accounting in 2013, and begin working on becoming a licensed CPA this year.

I look forward to learning more about fire and emergency services and providing my accounting expertise to maintain and improve the financial and administrative aspects of the ASFA
